A single white gauntlet glove, circa 1625 – 35 of white leather dyed buff brown, with separately embroidered and applied stepped gauntlet of deep crimson satin, lined in salmon pink silk, with fabulous raised-work embroidery of bishop's mitres to the corners, mythical beasts, worked in silver and gold brick stitch, couched gold and silver threads, purl wire and sequins, the edges adorned with silver and gold spangled lace, two crimson picot lace trimmed gussets, the elongated finger and thumb seams adorned with bands of gold chain stitch, 39 cm long.

Part of the Collection donated to the Livery in1959 by the late Robert Spence. Conserved 1995 – 1999 with help from the NHLF.
